Vic: Three arrested over 1970s racecourse assaults
Three men have been arrested in relation to a series of sexual and physical assaults
at Melbourne's Caulfield Racecourse in the 1970s.
The arrests stem from an ongoing police investigation of the incidents, which are alleged
to have occurred at the racecourse between 1974 and 1979.
Search warrants were executed at Caulfield and Flemington racecourses as well as addresses
in Melbourne's south-east yesterday.
A 53-year-old Edithvale man, 50-year-old Mornington man and 56-year-old Flemington
man were interviewed by police and are expected to be charged on summons at a later date.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information relating to the assaults to
contact them.
